- Nib QC lottery applies
Widely described as an excellent piston filler for the money; the size is the only real question.
What owners say
The majohn has a metal filling system, an ebonite feed, and an exceptional nib. On my P139, the copper piston jammed at first, and then I just used it as an eyedropper, but during the next refill, I damaged the feed when removing it (it's very fragile). The majohn is truly very high-quality, but it's best to buy a wrench and silicone for it, and be careful! r/fountainpens · 5 pts · thread
If you enjoy stubs I recommend you to get an asvine v800 replacemnet nib. It is compatible with the P140 ebonite feed and it's an absolute joy. I did this on my P139 and I don't want to go back r/fountainpens · 5 pts · thread
I have a P139. It's a great pen! Have it inked up with Tsuki-yo and it's really fun to write with. Congrats! r/fountainpens · 4 pts · thread
Yeah. I have another very very good pen from Majohn, a P139 in orange. With better materials than the "original" ones that pen is similar, the Delta Dolce Vita or the Montblanc Writer's Edition Ernest Hemingway. The P139 comes, like the P140, with an ebonite feed. With brass piston mechanism, and a great smooth and precise nib. Like said, the Chinese makers are day by better. r/fountainpens · 3 pts · thread
If you like fine lines /writes small, I advise you go F. These nibs are very generous in ink level, not saying that an F is equivalent to an M in smaller nibs, but also not the same as F in general other F, from other brands, namely japanses ones. And P139 and P140 have ebonite feeds, meaning wet and continuous ink flow without flaws. Between P139 and P140 (I have both) I would go to P140 though. r/fountainpens · 3 pts · thread
They're both lovely pens - the P139 too. I think my P139 has a slightly softer/bouncier nib and the 630 is pretty firm. r/fountainpens · 3 pts · thread
