Asvine reaching upmarket; the JoWo nib is the reason to consider it.

What owners say

The v800 is too big for me so besides that no comment on it Now... On the J16, GOATED PEN IN TITANIUM!!! Great nib, piston works flawlessly, I've never had a problem nor hard start, 2 weeks capped and wrote without a problem (i never tested any longer bcs I want to use it lol. I myself don't see a reason to get the ebonite version (I don't like the marbled finish on this pen), r/fountainpens · 11 pts · thread
The J16 is a great pen as is, and you can easily swap nibs to any JoWo compatible unit. I currently have a Franklin-Christoph nib in my J16 and it's just perfect. r/fountainpens · 5 pts · thread
I love my hammered Ti136! I’ve been surprised that the Asvine J16 seems more popular than even the cheaper, smooth-finish Ti136 because the J16 is so bland looking in comparison. I found a hammered stub for my Ti136 that suits it well. https://preview.redd.it/ltr7u50d2b7f1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f13c4eda1f1224b9e7f91506c93a05d48caf19a7 r/fountainpens · 4 pts · thread
Asvine J16 is a real sleeper. One of the best pens I own. It's heavier than an ECO, 30g vs 21g. If the weight doesn't bother you and you don't mind buying from communist China, I highly recommend the J16. I don't have a V200, but it weighs approximately the same as the J16. r/fountainpens · 4 pts · thread
I have the J16 ebonit and I love so much I've put my VP's on the shelf for awhile. Wouldn't hesitate to buy a few more J16's if they are ever is back on stock on Amazon. r/fountainpens · 3 pts · thread
The v800 is an EF and the J16 is just an F. Both feel great, the EF on v800 is really smooth, compared to the v126 it's not even close. r/fountainpens · 3 pts · thread
