For
  • Short and pocketable retractable
  • Simple cartridge filling
  • A working capless fountain pen for well under $40
  • One-handed operation, genuinely convenient for notes
  • Metal body feels substantial
  • Converter or eyedropper filling
  • Refinement of a mechanism Majohn has now iterated on three times
  • Metal body
Against
  • ~$59 is steep next to the A2
  • Little review coverage
  • Clip sits under the fingers — the classic Capless compromise, inherited whole
  • EF nib only in most versions
  • Trapdoor mechanism is the obvious long-term failure point
  • Heavier than the resin A2
  • Around $68 — the value gap against the A2 narrows sharply
  • Thin review coverage
