For —
  • Ink capacity that embarrasses pens five times its size
  • Genuinely pocketable, posts to a usable length
  • The cheapest way to try either brand — often under $10
  • More colourways than any other model in the catalogue
  • Enormous ink capacity for a pocket-length pen
  • Distinctive, genuinely charming shape
  • Fude version is a cheap way into bent-nib writing
  • Cheap
Against —
  • Eyedropper filling means ink on the fingers and burping if you overfill
  • Tiny unposted
  • Nib QC lottery at its most pronounced at this price
  • The barrel shape is awkward for long sessions
  • Too fat for most pen cases and sleeves
  • Reviewers call it an 'at home' pen rather than a carry pen
