For	A working capless fountain pen for well under $40 One-handed operation, genuinely convenient for notes Metal body feels substantial Converter or eyedropper filling	Much lighter than the A1 — the main reason to choose it Same capless convenience Wide range of colourways Cheap enough to risk	Short and pocketable retractable Simple cartridge filling	Refinement of a mechanism Majohn has now iterated on three times Metal body
Against	Clip sits under the fingers — the classic Capless compromise, inherited whole EF nib only in most versions Trapdoor mechanism is the obvious long-term failure point Heavier than the resin A2	Resin body feels less premium than the A1's metal Clip position still dictates the grip Same mechanism longevity question	~$59 is steep next to the A2 Little review coverage	Around $68 — the value gap against the A2 narrows sharply Thin review coverage
